Hello to all our amazing team leads – hope you are well! Please take a moment to read this important email 🙏🙏

We have been working diligently to find ways to better support you and your team. One of the main concerns we have found is related to the $2500 team buyout for new licensees. It has become clear that changes are needed. We have reworked the program to provide more flexibility and cost savings to new agents joining a team. The ultimate goal is to fully train and support new agents – whether through the Brokerage, their team, or both.
The 3 options for new licensees joining a team will be:
1. NEW AGENT TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH BROKERAGE: Wait to join a team until finished with first 3 transactions; complete brokerage training and coaching with Amy during this time

2. EXEMPT OUT OF NEW AGENT TRAINING PROGRAM: With certain requirements met, a team can be eligible to exempt a new agent out of the brokerage training program at any time.

The team lead must:

  • Attend a 1-hour class at the brokerage for certification (first one coming up on Feb 15th at 12:30pm)
  • Have a well thought out training program covering: MLS, Contracts, Compliance, Managing Transactions, SC Office, Earnest Money Procedures, the Silvercreek Toolbox, Prospecting/Lead Generation, Completing CMAs
  • Be consistently available to answer agent questions (including evenings and weekends)
  • Review contracts prior to submission
  • Team lead or mentor will need to be included on the contract for the new agent’s first 3 transactions
Should your team like to take advantage of this option, we are happy to share our training materials with you and/or look over your training program. We encourage you to utilize existing Brokerage resources to support your team’s success! ♥
3. HYBRID – NEW AGENT TRAINING PROGRAM + TEAM TRAINING/COACHING: Agent still goes through the brokerage training program, coaches with Amy, and can be on a team with a reduced brokerage training rate. This removes much of the burden of training from you, allowing you to coach and mentor in the way that makes the most sense for you and your team, while still ensuring the new agent receives full training. The cost for this is $1000/transaction + the standard transaction fee. This can apply for 1, 2, or all 3 transactions during training – depending on how many deals they have completed when they join your team.
We hope that eliminating the team buyout will create a better experience for agents, teams, and the brokerage as you onboard new licensees.

If you have agents who are currently subject to the team buyout, we are happy to honor the buyout or transition them to one of the above options, depending on what is best for you and the Agent.
